Coalition Government to "save football"?

Prior to the General Election MUST met with policy makers of all 3 parties including influential Tory blogger, and more importantly Manchester United Season Ticket Holder, Tim Montgomerie. A meeting with Jeremy Hunt - now the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport followed at a Manchester Hotel. Bizarrely Peter Mandelson happened to be sitting at the next table but that is another story!

Tim Montgomerie has tonight posted the following item on his blog which makes fascinating reading in combination with Paul Marshall's speech at the Lib Dem conference on Monday. Could the Coalition Government be set to act. Given continued encouragement the answer would seem to be yes very possibly:
