Green and GOALS!

As the Green and Gold campaign goes from strength to strength the team marches on in parallel. This is surely no coincidence.

United have scored an incredible 19 goals and the fantastic atmosphere created by all supporters but especially those wearing the colours of green and gold has undoubtedly been transmitting to the players on the pitch.

In the six games since the Green and Gold campaign started (Hull(H)) United have won 6 games including a fantastic away win at Arsenal, an impressive performance at Villa Park playing with 10 men for most of the game and then a stupendous 3 – 2 victory over AC Milan in the San Siro.

  • Hull City H 4 – 0
  • Man City H 3 – 1
  • Arsenal A 3 – 1
  • Portsmouth H 5 – 0
  • Aston Villa A 1 – 1
  • AC Milan A 3 – 2

Whether at Old Trafford, The Emirates, Villa Park or the San Siro – Fergie's wish has been granted. Reds have got behind the team – noisy, determined and newly optimistic about the potential future ownership of the club by supporters of Manchester United.

The atmosphere, certainly at Old Trafford, has been better than anyone can remember in recent times. In the game against City the stadium shook with noise and it felt like a throwback to thirty years ago, for those of us old enough to remember.

Duncan Drasdo, MUST chief executive said:
"What makes this Green & Gold campaign so powerful is this isn't a negative protest. It is a positive, growing and unstoppable movement towards a change of ownership of our club. It is also driving us on towards that coveted 19th title and more European glory. The success on the pitch since it started has led to supporters renaming it the Green & Goals campaign. MUST membership is going through the roof. We expect the 50,000th member to join online within the next 48 hours."

"We especially need the season ticket and executive facilities holders to join MUST but we also need the millions of United supporters worldwide to step forward and join the supporters trust now. With the team performing like they are on the pitch and the supporters uniting for a brighter new future for the club off it we are becoming an irresistible force."
