Information for fans attending Manchester City (A)
MUST attended the supporter engagement match planning meeting with GMP and representatives from both club. The notes below are points of relevance to visiting Manchester United supporters.
Arrival via tram - turn right from tram stop and travel anticlockwise around stadium to the away entrance
Bag drop (£10 each) is available and will be open from 12.30pm. However it is best to avoid bringing a bag - anything over A4 size will be refused entry
1.30pm gates open and early arrival advised due to full search of all away fans and digital ticketing and checks on them (screenshots not accepted)
Access via Gate 7 on Ashton New Rd
There will be queues to get into the sterile area and search dogs will be operating around the sterile area. Amnesty bins before the search lanes. Anyone in possession of drugs or pyro will be handed to Police
Additional Ticket checks - supporters will need to show digital tickets saved in mobile wallets - *screenshots will not accepted*
If beer is thrown on the concourse bars will likely be closed. 2 drinks max per person per visit to bar
Tragedy and discriminatory chanting - offenders will risk arrest. MCFC will also be publicising a Text Message Service (07700 15 1894) for supporters to report tragedy and discriminatory chanting.
No flags or banners relating to Israel/Palestine will be allowed
Hold back - 75th minute if necessary but the intention is not to have a hold back unless security concerns justify it on the day. If GMP do decide to implement a hold back there will be PA announcements to inform the United supporters.
